A very happy and very belated new year to you all!!!
My recent lack of silence was completely unplanned, having gone to France with the best of blogging intentions. But sometimes the universe (and the chalet's router box) has other plans for you and so I stayed away from my computer for the entire eight days, a nice change I must say.
So I owe you quite a few updates. I really wanted to tell you about my last, wind-swept run of 2012, all my good running intentions for 2013, do a re-cap of my 2012 running year and then, of course, about all the fun I had frolicking cross-training in the snow last week.
But instead of doing lots of writing, I think this week has other things in store for me. Remember that big move down south? Well, it's happening right now. Instead of enveloping my adventures in pretty prose, I'll be packing up and schlepping around boxes of stuff. So I'm afraid this might become yet another quiet week on the Two Itchy Feet front. Mea culpa.
To remedy the situation slightly, here's a mini-photographic journey of some of my fave bits of the last two weeks...
 |
| Finishing 2012 off in style at this gorgeous bride's big day! |
 |
| ...and ending the year with a rather stormy 3-miler |
 |
| Will have to get used to the rather tempestuous coastal weather, methinks |
 |
| And then this: absolute paradise |
 |
| THE funniest boarding socks EVER. Seriously, had me in stitches for ages |
 |
| A quick trip over the mountain border to Bella Italia |
 |
| Pow, pow, pow with G. No one I trust more to get me down an off-piste mountain more safely than this dude! |
 |
| And yes, you've seen correctly. Yours truly back on skis for the first time in 18 years (and yes, I'm that old!). And you know what? I friggin' loved it. |
How did you spend the last two weeks? Catch me up on your news.
What's new for 2013???
Wow, the skiing looks awesome. I think it's been about 8 years for me and I am DESPERATE to get back on the slopes but for some reason, sun holidays always seem to win. Good luck with your move down south!
ReplyDeleteYes, it was AWESOME. Only way to describe it.
DeleteWe have survived the move (barely, but hey!) and things should get back to normal-ish soon. :)
Welcome back, I missed you! Beautiful pics and I LOVE the dress you wore to the wedding!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I missed you too. :)
DeleteThe dress is Karen Millen but last year's collection.
1. Happy New Year!
ReplyDelete2. Welcome back!
3. I have snow envy. Bah.
4. Good luck with the move!
5. WHERE CAN I GET ME SOME OF THEM THERE SOCKS?!*
(*seriously, my brother turns 40 next month and these socks might be just the ticket!)
Thank you! The socks are Burton snowboard socks. I hope it's not too late to get them for your bro? Let me know if you do and how he likes them. :)
DeleteOh mannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn, I want to go snowboarding now!
ReplyDeleteYou two look super-gnarly! (Is that what the cool folk still say)?
As I haven't been part of the 'cool folk gang' in a while, I wouldn't know. But sure, gnarly works for me! ;)
